MountainAshSnow has caused havoc in South Wales, in the last few weeks, with many schools and businesses closed for several days since Christmas. Here at Ash Veterinary Surgery we’re committed to the welfare of our patients and understand that they can’t choose when they are going to require veterinary treatment. For that reason, all three of our clinics have opened every day they would normally, in spite of the snow and ice. We’ll do our best to keep our clinics open whatever the weather.

We’ve seen several animals who needed lifesaving procedures and would have died if they had not been treated. We’ve also treated countless others who would have suffered in pain if we hadn’t been there to help them.

If you are worried about any of your pets, please telephone the surgery for an appointment and we’ll do our very best to see you as soon as possible. Don’t put things off because you’re worried we’re not open; chances are that we will be.

It’s thanks to the commitment of our staff that we’ve managed this; with staff travelling to our Merthyr surgery from afar afield as Ystradgynlais, Seven Sisters, Cardiff, Machen, Tredegar and Ebbw Vale. We’d like to thank all those who have managed to get to work whatever the weather, especially those who live in Merthyr and have walked to work when they couldn’t drive.
